At CIAAY we have a set of experimental farms with the purpose of conducting tests of productive behavior in broilers and laying hens.
First experimental farm is exclusively focused on the production of broilers. This farm is organized in two sections with 48 pens each, in which 30 birds per pen are housed. This farm is located in the town of Chablekal, Mérida, Yucatán on the road to Sac-Nicté. It is at 15 minutes from Merida City. The coordinates are 21 ° 05'46 "North, 89 ° 34'37" West and an altitude of 9 meters above sea level.
Second experimental farm has three modules for laying hens with the purpose of evaluating productive behavior and egg quality.
. Also, the facilities of Experimental Farm 2 are adaptable to carry out digestibility tests of poultry and pigs. This farm is located on the Xmatkuil highway, Mérida, Yucatán with coordinates 20 ° 88'103 "North and 89 ° 62'804" West and 9 meters above sea level.
Experimental farm number 3 has a module for rearing replacement pullets to carry out tests of productive behavior, this farm is located in Hunucmá, Yucatán, at an altitude of 6 meters above sea level and at coordinates 20°59'42.5"N 89°52'57.9"W.
